Founded by Lucille Ninivaggi, Roots Hair Tattoo Studio is a creative space nestled between Porta Genova and the Tortona district in Milan. Originally launched in 2015 to bring together hairstyling and tattooing, it has since evolved into an intimate, experience-driven studio where beauty, identity, and storytelling intersect.

Reopened in 2022 in a more personal and curated form, Roots now offers a complete ecosystem with the return of its hairstyling area in 2025, with the interior interpreted by architect Roberta Borrelli. The space is designed to feel like a home - white walls, vintage furnishings, a garden terrace, and curated books create a welcoming environment where time slows down and self-expression takes centre stage.

More than a salon or studio, Roots embodies a philosophy of care rooted in listening, authenticity, and inclusivity. Here, aesthetics and well-being coexist, and every transformation - whether visual or emotional - becomes a shared ritual of connection.
