The apartment is situated in a charming 1950s building on Via Piccolomini in Rome, an elegant street in the Aurelio district. The project integrates seamlessly into this captivating urban and architectural context, embracing a design language focused on clean lines and open spaces.
The layout is defined by pure, simple forms, with a monolithic wall and integrated furniture piece that both organise the interior and enhance the flow of movement throughout the home. This element defines rooms, storage spaces, and cabinets, while enriching the tactile and sensory experience with its various material finishes.
The spaces, structured around the central monolith, open toward large windows overlooking the street, allowing natural light to reshape the interior atmosphere. Natural oak is the predominant material, used for the flooring, furnishings, and two sliding walls that reconfigure the living area to create a study space. The continuity is briefly interrupted at the intersections of the monolith, where both the walls and resin flooring share the same colour palette, seamlessly blending the volumes.
