Set in a late 19th-century historic building, Casa Buonarroti has been revitalised with a design that emphasises its impressive heights and volumes. Expansive windows overlooking an internal courtyard serve as the heart of the project, guiding the flow of spaces and bathing the interiors in natural light. The entrance, seamlessly integrated into the kitchen with bespoke cabinetry, introduces understated elegance, while the living-dining area, connected by a striking iron portal, enhances brightness and spatial continuity. A carefully designed volume separates the study from the master bedroom, ensuring privacy and functionality without disrupting the apartment's harmonious aesthetic.
In the study, an oak staircase with built-in storage leads to a mezzanine area, offering an intimate retreat for reading and relaxation. Meticulously restored original paintings evoke the residence’s historic soul, establishing a poetic dialogue with contemporary elements.
