BoattoMartino Studio transformed two historic units into a luminous, contemporary home in Milan’s Porta Romana district. The early 20th-century apartment retains original cementine floors and ceiling heights, blending them with discreet structural upgrades and a warm, tactile palette. A corridor in nutmeg tones connects the merged spaces, while alternating patterns of herringbone wood and cement tiles create a rhythmic flow.
In the living area, bespoke furnishings - like the Ca’Longa coffee table and powdered blue érable sideboard - introduce gentle contrast and function. The private quarters overlook a quiet courtyard, with custom-painted wardrobes and tailored pieces like the Cavanella bedside table enhancing the home’s intimate, crafted feel.
A refined balance of tradition and contemporary design defines this carefully orchestrated intervention.
